How to view and print school fees payment receipts
This article is meant for bursars and accountants from schools that use Sematime Finances to manage school fees balances, send SMS reminders and automatically reconcile payments made via M-PESA or bank deposit. After receiving payments from parents schools are obligated to issue receipts with a breakdown of how the money was appropriated to settle the various voteheads as initially invoiced.
There are a number of ways to print or download receipts.
Searching for payment
You can search for the payment using the reference number, student name or ID(admission number) as shown on the red box area below. Then click 'View Receipt'.

The system will show the invoices where the payment was applied to plus the amount that was allocated per votehead. Click on the 'Print' or 'Download' button as needed.

Printing batch receipts
When you import payments from an Excel file Sematime creates a record of all the batch payments added in the 'History' section showing when payments were added, their total value and the number of records. To print receipts, select the batch payment you are interested then click the 'Print Batch Receipts' button as shown by the red arrow.

The system will begin processing your payment receipts then combine them into one huge PDF file that you can then print by clicking the 'Printer' icon shown below.

Here is sample payment receipt generated by Sematime. It shows how one payment has been split and allocated to two different invoices each with its own votehead allotments.
