How to use the parents portal to check messages sent by the school
The school sends important info concerning your child every time through SMS messages. Could be reminders for an upcoming meeting, requests to send your child some pocket money, the end-of-term exam results etc.
Being the busy parents we all are it is possible your phone was off or was in an are with poor network coverage. As a consequence you did not receive the communication. You can use the parents portal to retrieve sent messages.
Via Sematime app
Open the app and go to the 'Home' page. Go to the 'Recent School Messages' section and click on the message whose details you want to view - scroll down further to view more messages. A small dialog window will open up on your screen showing the contents.
Via USSD
Dial '*483*10#' on your Safaricom or Airtel phone number then reply with 1 for 'View school messages'. On the second page, reply with option 1 for 'View recent' then choose the message you want to view and reply with the message number. On the final page, you get to see the whole message. Reply with 98 to view the remaining part of the message if necessary.
