How to edit the message signature, add salutations or allow recipients to reply

You may want to change the 'signature' appended to your messages or add 'salutations' at the beginning of your message such as 'Dear John, Good morning, Greetings etc'. To do this, you need to edit your 'Message Settings' by clicking on the link highlighted below with a red arrow.

Signature - when enabled Sematime will append the text you have entered at the end of each message. It's a great way to include your school office number for parents to callback and seek clarification.

Salutations - this option allows you to start each message with a greeting and the recipients first name. We provide a number of default salutations but you can add your own.

Replies - this option appends a small link, e.g Reply: sms.ke/link, to your messages. When clicked the link opens a web page where parents can compose their replies and send.

Message carbon copy(CC) - when enabled this option allows Sematime to send your message to both the primary and secondary numbers.

Remove unsupported characters - when you copy a text message from an email or a Word document it may contain characters that are not supported by the default SMS alphabet. Such characters increase the length of your message and inadvertently make your messages unnecessarily costly. When enabled, this option removes all unsupported characters from your messages.
